"LITSLE" is the property of Lyn Lang & Stewart Stevenson, 2 Komiti Rd, Tinopai, Northland.
For those of you who don't know us, we have lived here in the winterless north for 11 and a bit years and have established a somewhat haphazard garden of about 1.5acres on a ten acre block. We have a reasonable vege garden and a small collection of bamboos (about 30) and a few chooks and bees! We are semi self-sufficient, with solar power for about half our requirements, solar water heating in summer and wetback in winter. We cook on a woodfire and have a ready source of fuel on the block in the form of wattles and old pine trees.
The last time the Bamboo Society met here was in 2005 and we are really looking forward to hosting the AGM 2012 and hope many of you can be here with us.

Friday 24th February 2012
Arrive and set up camp (there is lots of room for tents)
Or locate your accommodation
Bring your own meal Friday night & all breakfasts.
Tea, coffee, sugar and milk provided.
Saturday 25th February 2012
Morning:
Look around LITSLE (prize for knowing what this stands for!)
Lunch:
Sandwiches, filled rolls etc - make your own - ingredients provided
Afternooon:
Drive to Dargaville (approx 1hr) & visit Marjory & John Lok's property
66 Hokianga Road
...Bamboos and palms.
Dinner:
We will order a Thai selection and have the meal at Loks'
BYO drinks.
Then return to where you are staying.
Sunday 26th February 2012
9.30 am
AGM
followed by auction
Afternoon:
Travel home or explore locality or swim.
We recommend a visit to the nearby Matakohe Kauri Museum
Allow plenty of time!
